Very Few COVID-Related Emergency Room Visits Now
The state of Michigan has added a new metric to its COVID-19 website.
The state now tracks the percentage of emergency room visits for COVID symptoms, which it reports as a seven-day average.
At its peak on March 28-29, 5.2 percent of Michigan ER visits were for COVID symptoms.
As of Oct. 3, the percentage had fallen to 0.7.
The percentage of ER visits due to COVID symptoms has not been above 1 percent since May 10.
