Vaccinated Or Not, New State Guidelines Heavy On Masks, Tests And Quarantines
Fully vaccinated individuals who come in close contact with someone suspected of having COVID-19 would still have enter quarantine and stay home from work unless they follow testing and mask wearing protocols established by the state.
That’s according to the most recent guidelines issued by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services on Oct. 26.
The guidelines state that fully vaccinated individuals who have been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19 should be tested 5-7 days after the exposure. They also should wear a mask in public indoor settings for 14 days, or until they receive a negative test result.
The new guidelines also state that a fully vaccinated individual who lives in a household with unvaccinated people “could also consider masking at home for 14 days following a known exposure or until they receive a negative test result.”
