Union: Remote Classes Only Until County Has No New Coronavirus Cases For Two Weeks
Oakland County currently averages about 103 new COVID-19 cases a day
In a Facebook post, the Rochester Education Association said that classes at Rochester Public Schools should all be done online until Oakland County has two consecutive weeks without a new COVID-19 case.
The teachers union made that claim in a July 30 Facebook post.
Oakland County hasn’t had a single day with no new cases since it began tracking COVID-19 on March 9.
As of Aug. 3, the seven-day average for new coronavirus cases in the county was 103 a day.
Rochester Community Schools is considering a hybrid approach that would have online and in-person classes.
