Federal district judge shot down gym lockdown June 19, appeals court reinstated it June 24
Anytime Fitness gyms in Jackson County sent out an email that its gyms were open despite a court ruling that mandated gyms in southern Michigan to remain closed under Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s lockdown order.
In a June 25 email sent at 12:25 p.m., Anytime Fitness wrote:

We received approval from corporate this morning to remove the gym reservation system from our locations website and App. That should be fully removed within 24 hours. Just scan your key and workout!
United States District Judge Paul Maloney ruled on June 19 that gyms could reopen June 25, over Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s objections.
Whitmer appealed, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit agreed June 24 with the governor and ordered the gyms in southern Michigan to remain closed.
