State Health Department Extends Current Michigan Lockdown Until Dec. 20
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) has extended for another 12 days the epidemic order effective Nov. 18 that closed bars and restaurants across the state to in-person dining, and limited private social gatherings.
“Hope is on the horizon, but we need an additional 12 days to determine the full impact of the Thanksgiving holiday on our efforts to mitigate the spread of the virus,” said Gov. Gretchen Whitmer in a press release.
The order will keep existing measures in place through Dec. 20.
