State COVID Citation Dampens The Fun At This Family Fun Center
The Kokomos Family Fun Center in Saginaw was issued a citation by the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity for violating pandemic-related state health department orders.
One of the complaints cited by the state was that the business “did not include [COVID-19 warning] signs for non-English speakers, as needed.” Those signs were supposed to warn employees to stay home when sick and advise on proper cough and sneeze etiquette. The business did not have any signs warning employees to stay home if sick, even in English, according to the state.
The facility’s owners were fined $2,000. The government inspection was triggered by an employee complaint.
The Kokomos Family Fun Center’s website states that for 20 years it has provided “G-rated entertainment” and “all sorts of fun things” for area families to do, including rides and amusements.
