Not Training Staff On COVID Symptoms And More Earns Speedway Station $6,300 Fine
The state of Michigan issued a press release on enforcement actions by inspectors from the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) monitoring compliance by businesses with COVID-19 executive order requirements.
A Speedway gas station in Waterford was fined $6,300 by an inspector for nine violations, including:
- The employer allowed employees to inadequately wear face coverings under the nose and mouth or not at all.
- The employer did not train employees on the recognition of symptoms of COVID-19.
