North Dakota Repeals Mask Mandate, COVID Case Numbers Plunge
North Dakota terminated its statewide face mask mandate on Jan. 19.
On Jan. 18, the last day masks were required, North Dakota reported a seven-day moving average of 160 new positive COVID test results per day, according to The New York Times.
By March 9, the state’s new positive test rate had fallen to 80 per day, a 50% decline
According to The New York Times, 22.8% of North Dakota’s population has received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine.
In Michigan, the most recent vaccination tally shows 18.1% of the population has received at least one dose.
