New Whitmer Order: You May Remove Face Mask While Eating In Bars Or Restaurants

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer released a new executive order June 1. It prescribes the requirements for staff and patrons at bars and restaurants, which will be permitted to reopen to dine-in customers starting June 8. Face masks are still required when entering an enclosed public place.

The executive order states: “An individual may also remove a face covering to eat or drink when seated at a restaurant or bar.”
