Lansing Insiders: Whitmer Expected To Ease Statewide Lockdown Today
Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is expected to announce that the entire state will be moved to Stage 4 in the COVID-19 reopening plan. That allows certain businesses and offices to reopen.
It is expected the change would take effect sometime over the next seven days, but that hasn’t been confirmed.
Whitmer is scheduled to give a press conference at 3 p.m. on June 1.
The governor's current reopening plan has six stages. Stage 4 continues to prohibit dine-in services at restaurants and bars. However, Lansing insiders say bars and restaurants will be allowed to have dine-in services at stage 4 with Whitmer’s announcement on Monday.
