Detroit Cops Have Issued 2,528 Tickets For Lockdown Violations
More than 5,600 warnings and 39 parties busted, too
The Detroit Police Department has issued 2,528 citations for violations related to the COVID-19 epidemic lockdown orders.
In addition to writing about 56 tickets a day, police in Detroit have issued 5,663 warnings and shut down 39 parties and 47 businesses.
The data tracks enforcement of coronavirus violations from April 4 through May 18, and was obtained in response to a Freedom of Information Act from the city of Detroit.
