24,836 In Michigan Got COVID Shots Wednesday
174,749 statewide have been immunized
There were 24,836 people in Michigan who received COVID-19 vaccinations on Jan. 6, the most of any day thus far according to the state of Michigan.
The second highest day for COVID vaccinations was 15,886 on Dec. 30.
So far, there have been 174,749 people who have received COVID-19 vaccinations through Jan. 6.
The first vaccination was administered in Michigan on Dec. 14.
Nationwide, 5.9 million people have received the vaccine as of Jan. 7, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The data is for the first dose received. Current COVID-19 vaccines require two doses.
