MEA Gives Update on Cyberbullying Bill While Still Bullying Ex-Members
The Michigan Education Association has posted an update on its website reporting that the recently-enacted Senate Bill 74 would require school districts to amend their required "anti-bullying" policies to include sanctions against "cyberbullying," including electronic or online bullying.
ForTheRecord says: The MEA teachers union stands strong against bullying - unless it applies to former members who exercise their new right to not pay union dues as a condition of employment. In those cases, individual teachers may find themselves in a hostile work environment, with their names listed in the newsletters that union locals post online. Just like they did HERE and HERE and HERE.
