A local teachers union is acknowledging something its parent-union and chosen gubernatorial candidate have been denying: Education funding has increased.
"Portage Education Association President Eric VerHey also says the district is receiving its largest per-pupil funding increase in years, and now is the time for teachers to get a raise,” MLive reports.
